If I had one more chance to hang out with Brandon …well I don’t even know where it would be that’s how day to day our friendship was. There’s a winter storm coming ? Alright let’s pack up the boards and take a trip to Tahoe. Was it a nice hot summer day memorial weekend? We’re headed up to Chico town grab the floats and the drinks for the river. But honestly I think I had the best time going to some reggae shows in Monterey bay by the beach I feel like music was his element. But really Anywhere was a good time with Brandon on the way we would have the most random talks and he would always go out of his way to make me smile or tell me some random off the wall jokes just to mess with me and make me laugh. I think he truly had joy in making people smile and I rarely think that he every had a bad day. At the reggae show I’d probably lose him because he’s always going off to make connections and meet new people. I’d probably find him later in the night talking with some random people at a booth with some free gear like clothes or little trinkets because he would somehow have traded or made a deal with that person. Brandon took every opportunity to listen to peoples stories and get to know them on a personal level.
Here’s a pic of us having some wine in-between snowboard sesh , it was funny because we forgot a corkscrew but he somehow managed to open it up and poured up into our fancy cups.

We would probably go to Santa cruz or up highway nine, we would like to go up to the forest for a good trail blaze. We would probably explore all the plants and things and play out crazy scenarios of what might happen on our hike. We would go to Santa Cruz after and visit my mom and play some instruments with her and have a drum circle.

I’d take a walk down memory lane. Just days before Brandon’s 21st birthday, we walked all over San Francisco, starting with a lunch at Nick’s Crispy Tacos that we really enjoyed, heading up Lombard Street, then Fillmore Street, and then through Chinatown. It was a beautiful and rare sunny day, we talked constantly, he had grown up so much. I wish we could do that once again.

Cruise on 280 to sf in the slow lane taking bong rips the whole way. Check out the ferry plaza, grab some snacks at the farmers market. Then get on our skateboards and mobb the hills till we almost kill ourselves in traffic. Then look for Peruvian or bomb ass mexican restaurant to eat at. I miss the days where we’d hustle and eat bomb food all day….

Of course it would be the Beach ocean . Brandon loved to get our friends together and head out to the water with our backpacking equipment with wine Brazilian beer and ales. Mostly it was about the food whole food sushi packs. We would all run or stagger depending on how much we ate and drank. Then brandon would iniate swimming in our clothes an tennis. The best part was of him and his friends attempting a drift wood fire with lighters. One of my favorites with him was espetus because of my Brazilian roots plus it was all you could it. Our chats were silly an dreamy he was so knowledgeable about everything…..I an my friends will hold him in our heart

BDAY 🎃 🎃 . I visualize food trucks from all over the world Cuba, Spain, Morocan food, Cali food,
Everything you could possibly imagine. I also see a truck just hooked up for travel info. Dogs 🐕 with their owners, ski booths (he was very proud of his trick 🎿 skis).
Of course there would be a apparel booth! At some mega local.
My October this year has been riddled with short bouts of wrenching tears randomly daily and delightful 😃 smiles when I can hear him saying mom….mom over and over when he was excited
To help me pick out a lap top, tv or any electronics to help his mom be more savvy lol 😆

Happy Birthday Brandon! If I could I would def have brought him here to Hawaii and watch him surf and go onna crazy hike with me. I know he would have loved that. Go on adventures to North shore and go chill drink wine onna boat cruise. Son, you’ve spent every day with me since you passed. You’ve seen me fragile and frail and been with me as I try to heal. I’ve laughed aloud by myself in a crowd when some sliver of a site or sound triggers a memory of us. And every night, I wake from a dream of some twisted adventure we might have shared.

Went to the falafel drive in today on San Carlos. Brandon introduced me to this place and I always order the exact same way he taught me. Get the falafel balls, pita bread, and the red sauce all separate and make my own little sandwich bites. Thinking of you today Brandon. Miss you brother ❤️
